Bilguunzul 3×3 basketball tournament – 2024 held successfully

On July 24th, a 3×3 basketball tournament organized by the Bilguunzul B. Foundation was successfully held for children from organizations providing child protection and development services. On the standard basketball court outside AIC Steppe Arena, 13 teams of athletes from 6 NGOs, including the Bilguunzul B. Foundation, Christina Noble Children’s Foundation Narkhan Orphanage, Children’s Joy, Gunj Center, Khugjliin Khelkhee (Development Circle), and Tolgoi District Development, competed in two categories: 13-15 and 16-18 age groups, testing their speed and dexterity.

The Gunj Center won first place in the male category for 13-15-year-olds, while the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation’s Narkhan Campus took first place in the female category. In the 16-18 age group, Children’s Joy secured first place in the male category, and the Gunj Center won first place in the female category.

          First place holders with Oyuntsetseg Dayandorj, the Head of Bilguunzul B. Foundation 

The Bilguunzul B. Foundation first organized this type of competition among the children of its center in 2023, and starting this year, it will hold an annual competition involving children and youth from child protection and development centers across Mongolia. Oyuntsetseg Dayandorj, the Head of the Bilguunzul B. Foundation, announced that the best athletes from these centers will be prepared to enter the basketball youth league.

The Bilguunzul B. Foundation is a non-governmental organization established in 2020 at the initiative of family and friends in memory of the late Bilguunzul Batmunkh, aiming to provide children with a healthy and safe environment to grow, learn, develop, and have equal opportunities.
