ESAN is named after the President of Mongolia

The President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, issued a decree to increase the competitiveness of Mongolians in the world, provide equal opportunities for children and youth to study, and support them to study at the top universities of the world. The “President’s Scholar-2100” scholarship program was initiated in 2021 to select the best students from each of the 330 districts and metropolitan committees to study at the world’s best universities.

By 2023, 260 students have gone to study at universities in 16 countries, including the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Canada, Poland, Australia, China, Russia, Hungary, India, Laos, and Vietnam. The official ceremony to determine the winners of this year’s “President’s Scholar-2100” scholarship was held on February 5th at the Government Palace, and about 250 best students received their credentials.

It was announced today that the ESAN – the national electronic library has been named after the President of Mongolia. ESAN is a significant intellectual and economic technological revolution to have digitized 130 million pages of materials with the help of the most advanced technologies, protect intellectual property with an artificial intelligence-based copy criteria system, and improve the quality of research and education. ESAN aims to preserve and disseminate the history and cultural heritage of the nation, to ensure equal access to education for citizens, especially children, and to contribute to the long-term development policy of Mongolia. It was emphasized that all the textbooks for grades 1-12 are located in the e-library, and children can use them free of charge.
